The USZ Annual Meeting (Jahresversammlung) was held on Friday 14th March at the Nationalhof in Seebach.
Special thanks to our Jessica for her service as Membership responsible (Mitgliederdienst). Jessica is stepping down, but she was instrumental in helping set up the new USZ Clubdesk based web site, which should make management of USZ much easier. It was very interesting to hear how the Underwater Rugby Group has developed. They are competing at a high level, attending the equivalent of Underwater Rugby World Championships.
The Underwater Rugby Group (men) requested financial support from USZ for their participation in the high level competition- this was approved.
The Underwater Rugby Women subsequently also requested financial support, which was also approved.
The message from the USZ committee was to make such requests at least six (6) weeks in advance of the annual meeting.
This is promising for Underwater Hockey because if we also have players or teams competing at a high level (European or World Championships) there is the possibility of getting financial support from the club.
